IL Concealed Carry

Defcon-1 Offers the Best Illinois Concealed Carry Class in the Chicago Area

The Defcon-1 Firearms IL Concealed Carry Course takes an in-depth look at Illinois’ laws relating to the carrying and use of a deadly weapon or firearm, and develops within the student the knowledge and attitude necessary to undertake the enormous responsibility that comes with carrying a concealed firearm in public.

This is NOT a ‘gun show class’, nor is it a one-hour ‘rush-you-through’ marathon. Our classes are not commercials for gun manufacturers, nor are they equipment sales pitches. We will not try to sell you firearms, holsters, or ancillary products.

In this comprehensive class, your instructor will take the time to make sure that you feel comfortable with a firearm that you’re likely to carry as a concealed weapons permit holder, and give you the opportunity to get sufficient ‘trigger time’ to gauge your proficiency and correct any potential issues early on. All range tactics are taught FIRST in the classroom in the firearms safety and mechanical operation portions of the program.

As with all Defcon-1 Firearms Chicago area civilian firearms programs, the concealed weapons permit class is taught by certified State of Illinois firearms instructors.

II) Defcon-1 Firearms Chicago Private IL Concealed Carry Instruction

Why Have a Private Concealed Carry Class at Home?

Defcon-1 Firearms Chicago is well known for our group Illinois Concealed Carry classes throughout the Chicago area.  Recently however, we have noticed a trend: there has been a substantial demand for private CCL classes in Chicago… smaller, in-home private training sessions for groups of close friends, families, coworkers and many others.

When we received our first request for a private group CCL training class at a client’s house, we thought it was a rare, yet still very practical idea.  Several other clients over the years have requested private Illinois concealed carry training. Now many private individuals prefer to receive their training in this manner.

Here are a few of the main advantages of booking a private Concealed Carry training class for your group:

Convenience of Learning at Home

One of the most obvious benefits of booking a private CCL class is that the class comes to you.  With the exception of the range time, the entire classroom portion of the IL concealed carry course is taught in a setting where you never have to leave, and are at your most comfortable.  You won’t have to sit in any traffic, and if you’re not keen on classroom settings in general, you’ll have the freedom to get your CCL without sacrificing a day or two away from home.

Flexible Scheduling

Many people live very hectic busy lives which  often times do not coincide with the ridged times of a group class. With private gun instruction, there is a lot more flexibility of scheduling the class.

More Interpersonal Setting & Interaction

Lecture and classroom training is still highly informative, but there’s something very personal and up-close about the small group setting that comes from a private in-home concealed carry training.  You can interact more closely as a tight-knit group, look directly into the instructor’s eyes, and enjoy the comfort of being surrounded by family or close friends.  Additionally, having a Illinois Concealed Carry Class at home allows for the presentation of real life home scenarios, something that can’t be truly mimicked in a classroom setting.

A Great Way to Surprise Your Friends

Can you imagine the look of thrilled surprise, when you announce to your friends or family that an NRA-certified instructor is on their way over right now, to provide the training needed to apply for an Illinois CCL permit?  If you and your colleagues need a break from poker or video gaming night, this is a sure fire way to surprise the group while getting one step closer to keeping your loved ones safe.
